With this year’s official season set to begin, Street League Skateboarding (SLS) has announced a landmark partnership with ESPN2 and the World of X Games on ABC, as well as the newly launched digital subscription network ETN to provide the largest broadcast distribution in SLS history. With more ways to tune in than ever before, SLS brings an unprecedented number of eyes to professional skateboarding across the world.
SLS offers a range of options for fans around the world to tune in and watch skateboarding’s most prestigious competition series, the 2017 SLS Nike SB World Tour. Within North America, ESPN2 runs complete finals coverage of each event, including a dedicated show featuring the Women’s Division of the Super Crown World Championship. For those that missed the action, a highlight special will be aired as part of the World of X Games on ABC the weekend following each event. SLS will also be available live via ETN, the only digital OTT network with authenticity at its core, featuring original skateboarding shows and live events. The action from Barcelona’s upcoming SLS Pro Open will be free on ETN May 20th-21st for fans around the world to tune in live.
“We’re fired up about the growing popularity of SLS in recent years, and expanding the impact of the best street skateboarding competition on a global level with these partnerships,” says Brian Atlas, SLS President and co-founder. “We’re very proud to partner with ESPN, ABC and ETN to bring the excitement of SLS broadcasts to our passionate audience; elite professional skateboarding has simply never had distribution on this level before.”
