Dashawn Jordan grew up playing football and started skating with his friends when he was 9 years old. At the time he didn’t own a skateboard and would borrow one from his friends. Dashawn’s passion for skateboarding didn’t take over until he moved to Phoenix and he was introduced to the Arizona skate scene. In 2011 Dashawn started entering contests and in 2015 he began to make a name for himself after he won the Damn Am stop in Los Angeles. In 2016 everything changed for Dashawn – he dropped a heavy Next New Wave part for The Skateboard Mag, got a Diamond Supply Co ad doing a Biggerflip Front Board down the Hollywood 12, won Tampa Am & was voted Years Best Am (The Skateboard Mag). Winning the 2016 Tampa Am was a feat in itself and qualified him to skate in the 2017 SLS Nike SB Pro Open alongside the worlds most elite Pros. After starting 2017 off with an incredible Radar part for The Berrics, Dashawn skated the Pro Open Qualifiers, advanced to the Semi-Finals and ended up being one of the two highest placing Qualifiers that made it into SLS. Dashwan had a solid finish next stop, taking 7th in Munich, but really turned heads when he took 1st in Chicago. He stomped a laser flip off the top of the hubba for a whopping 9.4—which was the highest score of the contest—as well as an impressive 360 flip 50-50 down it to seal the emotional win. Dashawn took 7th at the 2017 Super Crown World Championship, and 11th overall.
