Louie Lopez grew up in Los Angeles, CA and started skating when he was five years old. By 12 it was apparent that Louie was blessed with natural skateboarding abilities and he started entering Am contests. Louie quickly picked up some big sponsors and dropped his first major part in Flip’s Extremely Sorry video in 2009 when he was 15. Over the years he kept entering Am contests and making a name for himself on tours and in videos. In 2013 at the age of 18, Flip turned Louie Pro and in 2014 he dropped heavy video parts in Volcom’s True To This as well as Flip’s 3 video. In 2016 Louie put out his best part to date in Volcom’s Holy Stokes video. At just 23, Louie is already a respected Pro and placed right behind Tommy Fynn and Tiago Lemos in the 2016 Pro Open—barely missing a spot in SLS. In 2017 he was chosen SLS Picks but after already taking the 2017 Tampa Pro win he is qualified to be an SLS Pro, and received a golden ticket straight to the Super Crown world championship, where he placed 4th.
