Growing up in Melbourne, Australia, Shane O’Neill started skating when he was ten. By the time he was thirteen he was riding for Nike SB. Shane’s first major appearance in a skate video was in Lewis Marnell’s part from Nike SB’s Nothing But The Truth which was released in 2007. Two years later Shane dropped back to back parts in Skate Mental’s Am Chowder and Nike SB’s Debacle video. In 2010 Shane became an SLS Pro, won one of the first SLS stops and rocked the skate world with his Pro part for Skate Mental. In 2015 he joined his best friend Paul Rodriguez to skate for Primitive Skateboarding. A six-year veteran, Shane is arguably the most tech skater in SLS and often finds himself in the Finals. He is also tied with Nyjah Huston for the highest 9 Club score ever (9.9). Shane was crowned the 2016 SLS World Champion last year by taking home wins at Tampa Pro, the Pro Open and winning the Super Crown World Championship. Shane definitely kept the momentum rolling into 2017, where he dropped an unbeliveable video part for Nike SB titled “Levels”. Shane had incredible season in the arena taking home 2nd at the Pro Open, 9th in Munich, 3rd in Chicago, and 2nd at the Super Crown. Shane’s level of skating and progression seems to have no limit. We can’t wait to see what he does in 2018.
